Which Countries Get The Most Time Off Work? (Interactive Map)

Undoubtedly, paid time-off, vacation days, and parental leave are critical factors for long-term employee satisfaction -- in fact, 43% of employees said annual leave is the work-related benefit that would make them feel most loved in the workplace.

But vacation days and PTO vary greatly depending on the culture in which they're offered. Certain countries place more emphasis on the "Work hard, play hard" motto, for instance, while other countries are typically more lax in their time-off requirements.

Nowadays, moving overseas for a job is becoming increasingly common. The percentage of Americans ages 25 to 34 who are planning to move overseas has quintupled in two years, from less than one percent to 5.1 percent.

If you're considering a global move, however, you might want to pay attention to the following interactive map, which displays data gathered from the World Policy Analysis Center, the International Labour Organization (ILO) and Globalization Partners. The map shows which countries offer the most potential time off -- including paid, unpaid, parental, and sick time-off.

Whether you're considering a move or you're just curious, go ahead and take a look.
